I've had a strong interest in web design for many years, developing personal web sites for leisure and more recently professional web sites for clients.
I have a preferance for hard-coding using xhtml and css, but have also developed web sites in my academic studies using JSP, PHP and mySQL. My tool for creating graphics is usually Photoshop and Flash.

www.affordablesd.co.uk This web site is for a Milton Keynes based Self Drive Hire company. I was also asked to design the logo and choose a simple professional colour scheme. I was provided with the images and content, so the main task was building the site using HTML and CSS. |

www.heroesforkidsclub.co.uk During my placement at Heroes for Kids, an e-commerce business in the Toy industry. I was asked to design, develop and upkeep a childrens interactive website. www.teambao.co.uk This web site was created as part of my group project module, and represents our multimedia product, 'Treasure Hunter'. As one of the group's designers I was responsible for the design including the colour scheme and layout as well most of the graphics. I built the basic structure of the site with HTML and CSS, and worked closely with one of the groups programmers who added the additional scripting and flash. |
